Increase of the competitiveness of industrial complexes of the EAEU Member States is the main target of cooperation developing within the Union. For that purpose, first of all, an essential driver for innovative activity is needed, as well as the solution of import substitution tasks and the detection and removal of barriers to free movement of industrial goods and services in the common markets of the EAEU. The urgency of the issue of eliminating barriers is particularly important for strengthening the cooperation and the release of the Union industrial products to the markets of third countries. In turn, the import substitution involves an increase in the share of products of the EAEU Member States in the general markets and the tendency to a step-by-step increase in the localization of its production, which will reduce dependence on imports of industrial products from third countries.

Currently, one of the relevant issue has become supplying the EAEU farmers with the equipment they require. Considering the current economic situation, purchase of imported machines or accessories significantly increases the cost of manufacturing processes. Thus, it is necessary to develop localization and analogue manufacturing on the Union’s territory, thereby increasing the agricultural machine-building competitiven. The key underlying principle of the Eurasian Integration is providing four freedoms: free movement of goods, services, capital and workforce. An important role in this process is given to road transport that is used at the beginning or end of any transportation and serves as a link between other modes of transport. Removal of barriers and restrictions concerning transportation of passengers and cargo in the Eurasian Economic Union as well as formation of a common transport services market in the Eurasian space will lead to qualitative changes in the economies of the Union states resulting in transport costs decrease, making goods more competitive and improving transport accessibility and mobility of the population, which is one of the quality of life criteria and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Formation of the common financial market of the EAEU: advantages and challenges for the member states

Large-scale development of integration processes and the formation of common markets is difficult to imagine without a financial infrastructure. The task of creating a common financial market by 2025 was identified as a priority by the presidents of the Union countries following the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in 2016. However, harmonization of the current rules for the implementation of monetary, currency, banking and insurance operations in the countries of the Union is associated with certain difficulties of unification of the industrial regulatory framework and requires careful joint elaboration. Since the EAEU has intensified cooperation with Vietnam within the framework of the FTA, trade turnover grew by 6.8%. While Belarus focuses on cooperation in the field of heavy machinery, Kazakhstan has increased bilateral trade by almost 2.3 times, where the bulk of exports is comprised of agricultural products. Russia, in its turn, actively develops trade in industries such as metallurgy, food and machinery. In recent decades there has been a substantial increase in the requirements imposed by the state with regard to responsibility of businessmen to the society in carrying out their activities. At the same time, 75% of investments of multinational enterprises in the world today are subject to the OECD requirement of responsible business conduct (RBC), which affects the requirements to counterparties. In the global B2B e-commerce market, there are large players who can dictate their rules. The electronic trading platforms are also being established across the EAEU member states. They are designed to facilitate the trade cooperation between our countries, as well as with third countries. Our sites differ significantly in terms of the volume, relevance of the information provided and the functionality. It is proposed to initiate a dialog with interested market participants on cooperation in electronic commerce, expertise exchange in terms of sites improvement to raise their efficiency.
